What is elastic fabric?

Elastic fabric is a type of fabric with elasticity, which can be made more elastic through ribbed weave.
Ribbed fabric, also known as elastic fabric, is a knitted fabric with ribbed weave. Because the coils are intertwined, the yarn will slip when pulled by external forces, so ribbed fabric has greater elasticity.
If an elastic fiber called "spandex" is added to woven fabrics, the resulting fabric is also known as elastic fabric. Spandex is a highly elastic fiber, but it is also relatively expensive. Adding 4% -8% spandex to woven fabrics can give the fabric good elasticity.
Common stretch fabrics:
DuPont Lycra: It is the elastic artificial elastic fiber. Can be expanded to 4-6 times the original width. DuPont Lycra, which contains chlorine resistant ingredients, will give underwear a longer lifespan than regular underwear.
Nylon fabric: Although the texture of jade is not as strong as that of Lycra fabric, its elasticity and thickness can be comparable to Lycra fabric. The commonly used underwear fabric currently, suitable for products in the mid price range.
Polyester fabric: It is an elastic fabric with bi-directional and bi-directional stretching. Due to limited elasticity, it is often used for two-piece swimwear or women's swimwear, and is not suitable for one-piece design. Yarns that can be partially spliced or used for low-cost strategic applications.
